Operate As Part Of An Emergency Control Organisation

The unit equips students with the skills and knowledge required to perform effectively as a member of an emergency control organisation (ECO) during workplace emergencies. This unit is essential for individuals designated as wardens or emergency personnel in workplaces such as offices, factories, schools, and public facilities, where a coordinated response to emergencies is critical for ensuring the safety of all occupants. Throughout the course, students will learn how to respond to a range of emergency situations, including fires, evacuations, medical emergencies, and security threats. Training covers the roles and responsibilities of ECO members, how to communicate effectively with building occupants and emergency services, and the procedures for safely evacuating or managing individuals during an emergency.
